“Rocket” is a wonderful horse who has earned herself a permanent home at Rivers Edge Farm. A little running bred mare from Florida with a lot of attitude, whom we purchased at 7 months old. She is honest and has a wonderful work ethic. “Rocket” is fast and loves to run in the arena or playing in the pasture. She has had a nice barrel racing career earning ~ $2,000 in 3 years just hauling locally. She has been plagued with stifle problem from the very start and we are happy she has had a career at all. Yes, she can run but she is also very broke. Awesome at Showmanship, handles the Trail Class well, and has even won and placed in Western Pleasure. Spins, flying lead changes on cue, and she slides to a stop at “whoa”. Sadly, her stifles issues have progressed so we are semi-retiring her for a couple of years to have a couple foals. We will see what time off can do for her.
She is bred to SPORTS ON FIRE for a 2009 foal and we are so excited about this combination. We plan on bringing her back to the arena in 2010.
